Another new project

I´m finihing my old badly painted models one by one. Khârn the Betrayer, Khôrne lord with Bloodfeeder and the Imperial Guard casuality from the old Cadian Command box. I´ve just started re-painting the wounded but still living Space Marine from the Space Marine Casualities blister I bought some time ago. It wasn´t that badly painted but my original intent with the model was to make a dying Death Company marine. The pose of the model just screams "FUCK YOU!!!!" and I love it to death.

I couldn´t do it without having an idea. I´m still working on my masterpiece. The novel about the P.I Frank Bishop, but I´ve gotten stuck, so I though I´d start another project. So, I´m starting a new project. I love writing. I love telling stories and the I know the Warhammer 40.000 universe well enough to tell a story about it. It may not be published officially but that doesn´t really matter. I´m going to write a story about this dying Space Marine and tell his heroic story. Space Marines live, breath and shit honour, courage and heroic deaths on the glorious battlefield.

Please leave a comment if you dare. Over and out and STOP CALLING ME ROGER!

Projects

I have finally come to a place where I have painted almost all my figures. This doesn´t mean that I´m qutting the hobby, far from it. I am just in a form of balance where I can buy new stuff without having a bad conscience for letting my old figures go unloved. I´m not there yet though. I have several projects going and need various parts to complete my old projects that for some reason or other I have failed to accomplish.

I bought the "Assault on Black Reach" box and split it with an old friend and comrade in arms. It´s a terrific starter set for beginners but also a good way to add unique models to an existing army. This box contain everything you need to play a small battle between two armies, the mighty Space Marines and the always battle hungry Orks. I do play Space Marines but the models I was intrested in were the orks. I am two models away from completely having painted everything I bought in the box.

I have also finished my Death Watch Kill Team. Sort of. I am done with what I set out to do but I found a way to add three more members to that squad. I am also converting a Killa Kan (Orks) and have a cool idea for another Killa Kan so that´s another project to start on. I wasn´t satisfied with how my World Eaters (Chaos Space Marines) looked. They were the first models I ever painted and that´s about five years ago and since I have gotten so much better and much more efficient at painting I thought I would give them a make over too. They´re currently residing in paint remover.
My beloved Space Hulk box is a treasured possession of mine but I´m not happy about the look on my Genestealers (Tyranids) so I am going to give them a make over too.

These, in addition to a few pewter models, are my on-going projects right now. I know it sounds like a lot, and by every right, is a lot but I´ll get through it.

Facing my Daemons

For too long now my beloved Daemonettes of Slaanesh have stood dormant. They have gone unloved year after year. The lastest codex for Chaos Space Marines really screwed up the rules for daemons. Instead of letting every Chaos God have his own specific daemons they are all now classified as Lesser Daemons or Greater Daemons. The Lesser Daemons really suck! Hopefully they get a better chance in the next codex...

Space Hulk!!!

HJMFSC!!! It´s been quite a while since I posted here now.
A while back a friend and me played a game of Space Hulk. Lovely game! For those of you who are uninitiated it´s a board game in the Warhammer 40k universe. Two players control either a small group of Space Marines and the other controls Genestealers. Genestealers are vicious and extremely dangerous alien critters, very fast, strong and agile. The Blood Angels (Space Marines) are, a bit contradictory to their name the protagonists, the REALLY good guys even among other good guys. In many aspects the game is quite similar to the Alien films.

This version of Space Hulk is actuallt the third edition. It was first released in 1989 (waaaaay before my time) and re-released in 2009 as a 20th year special edition thing. The figures is beautifully crafted and was a pure pleasure to paint. The figure shown below is brother Calistarius, a Blood Angel Librarian (just to clearify, a librarian is not someone who works in a library but a powerful sorcerer). Calistarius later became Mephiston Lord of Death, which is a Blood Angel special character.

The game is played by firstly setting up a course. The course is pre-determined by the Mission Book. It consists of jigsaw-like pieces that fit into each other to form long narrow corridors. Just like normal Warhammer-gaming the results are determined by dice rolls.
Almost all Space Marine history is filled with heroic last stands and this game can very easily add to that history by bad dice rolls and/or bad planning.

I won this match on pure luck:-).

Right wing politics

Election times are upon us once again and my lovely girlfriend found this lovely slogan by the liberalist party Moderaterna. For those of you who doesn´t read Swedish it says "Work leads to freedom" which another sign also claims (this one is in german and located in Poland).
Remember to vote people!!!

2 days later!

A couple of days have gone by now and my branding is healing nicely. It doesn´t behave like a tattoo, but really, why should it? It is slowly leaking fluid but the swelling is going down. It is not very painful, except for the beginning and end of the day when I need to wash it.

It does feel really awesome and I am so very pleased with it! I´m definitely doing this again, and I´d even recommend it to others:-D!
It´s a little weird but every time I do some body art I get sort of a happiness-high and each one makes me want to do other things!

This picture makes it easier to see how big it is.

Branding...

This is my first post that´s not about Warhammer. It´s also the first one I write in English, to get a broader reader range.

Last Saturday I went to Ed´s Kroppskonst (http://edskroppskonst.se/) to set a date for my first branding and today it was time:-D. It didn´t feel anything like I thought it would, but then again, I don´t know what I was expecting.
I did a laser surgery thing on a tattoo on my wrist a while back, to get it bleached so I could cover it up without it being visible through the new tattoo. The sensation of the laser is the closest I can compare the...needle thingie he used to.
In some parts of the sitting I didn´t feel it at all but in other places (often closly adjacent) it hurt like HMFSC (for those who know me:-P).

I am very satisfied with the result, even though it will take a month or so until it has healed enough to be able to see the real end result.
Comments and reactions are appreciated!
